Local Spotlight: Collective Coffee
📍 3648 W Southern Ave, Phoenix
Collective Coffee is more than just a great spot for a latte or a breakfast burrito—it’s a hub for community impact. Owned by Juan and Christina Chavez, Collective has quickly become a local favorite, and for good reason.
Juan and Christina aren’t just running a coffee shop while raising a family—they’re also the driving force behind AZ Reach, a nonprofit organization that works in local high schools to provide financial literacy, entrepreneurship training, grief counseling, and other vital resources. Through AZ Reach, they’re changing lives and shaping brighter futures for families across our community. Collective Coffee is simply their latest way of giving back.
When you stop by, you can grab one of their incredible lattes or, my personal go-to, a breakfast burrito—and know that your purchase is helping support a mission that truly matters. I first met Juan at an AZ Reach event, and every conversation since has been nothing short of inspiring.
Stay tuned—we’ll be sharing some exciting collaborations with Juan and Christina soon. In the meantime, if you find yourself near 35th Avenue and Southern, do yourself a favor and stop in at Collective Coffee. And if you get the chance to meet the Chavezes, you’ll understand why I feel so strongly about supporting both this fantastic business and the incredible work they’re doing for our community.
